Reminder for Rugby Indiana Registration

The early registration for Rugby Indiana ends on Feb. 27th. After the 27th the cost increases by $10. You must be registered to participate this season.

Nash Bash Trip Clarification

Just a quick clarification. 

There will be a charter bus for the girls to ride to and from Nashville. The girls will be assigned to rooms which have been reserved by the club. The rooms that are being held are for parents/family to reserve. There will be a small cost associated with the trip to help offset club costs for the weekend. Meals during the trip are included for the girls (dinner Friday, lunch, breakfast, dinner Saturday and Sunday). I do not yet have the total for the trip.

April 8 - Open
April 10 - at North Central - B-Side ONLY, 2 p.m.
April 11 - vs Columbus - HOME 2 p.m.
April 15 - Open
April 18 - vs South Bend (B-Side) 1 p.m. and Penn (A-Side) 2 p.m. at Moose Grounds, Elkhart, IN
April 22 - vs Southeastern (B-Side) 5 p.m. and Carmel (A-Side) - HOME 6 p.m.
April 25 - at Warsaw 1 p.m.
April 29 - vs Noblesville - HOME
May 1 - vs North Central - HOME 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.
May 8 & 9 - Midwest Tournament both A & B side (3 games for each side) at Carmel
May 15 - State Playoffs Round 1 - Location TBD

Register with Rugby Indiana by Feb 27th to save the late fee

Make sure you are registered with Rugby Indiana by Feb. 27th to make sure you don't have to pay the late fee. Please make sure you register under the right team.

Nash Bash Hotel Information

The girls will have assigned rooms. There are several events during the same weekend so we are not as close to the pitch as we would like to be but the closer hotels were three to four times the cost.   The Girls team and coaches will be staying at:    Airport Super 8,    720 Royal Parkway,    Nashville, TN 37214. They will be there the nights of Friday 12th, Saturday 13th March and departing Sunday 14th.   20 rooms have been blocked off for parents at this hotel. Call 615 889 8887 and ask for Violet or Gloria.  Tell them you are with Brownsburg Rugby club and you would like one of the blocked 'parent' rooms.     Airport Super 8 is 15 minutes from the Ruby fields at Vanderbilt University. There are other events being held in Nashville

Rugby Information for the Week of Feb 22nd

We will be practicing Monday Feb 22nd at 5 p.m. Please bring tennis shoes because it is likely that we will be on pavement because of the snow covering the ground. We will do passing basics and go over some general guidelines and rules. If you have forms/money to turn in please bring them tonight.

Also you must register with Rugby Indiana for the 2010 season. If you do not register by Feb. 27th there will be a $10 fee added. Here are CIPP numbers from 2009. There are not many of you registered and you MUST have this done no later than March 6th for our scrimmage.  If you have already registered with Rugby Indiana you do not need to take any further action. If you are a returning player you can search for you CIPP number on http://www.usarugby.org/ you will need to search under club rosters and input Westside into the search it will bring up several choices. Please choose Westside Rugby Club (Brownsburg Girls) and at the top pick the 2009 roster and this will pull up last season's roster from there you will have your CIPP number. If you are new to the club this year do not worry about that step.

Practice Update ...

Practice has been CANCELLED for the week of Feb 15th. The snow and temperature have made it unsafe for us to practice outside. We will hopefully be starting on Feb. 22nd. 5 p.m. at Blast Off.

The Jamboree Scheduled for Feb 21st has been Cancelled. Please keep checking back here or http://www.brownsburg.org/ for further information.
